As with any Code of Ethics, practices and considerations do not forfeit municipal or governmental laws or regulations. We implement and practice “Best Practices” concerning coach-client confidentiality, the coach-client professional relationship, truthful individual coach’s professional training, experience, and expertise, respecting others, unfair discrimination or harassment, seeking to minimize client harm when the coach’s personal problems conflicts or compromises the coach-client relationships and for the client’s progress, in caring not to misuse the coaches’ influence, avoid any conflict of interests, or exploitative behavior, the fair practices of bartering, referrals and third-party requests for services, management of client records and information, clear fees and financial arrangements, truth in advertising, discussing the structuring what is and is not a client-coach relationship with the benefits and limitations of coaching, and confidentiality and privacy norms in coaching. With that said, there are always exceptions.
